Two technical appraisals of TZ brand oil film bearings are highly evaluated

Taiyuan Heavy Machinery Group Co., Ltd. has made significant progress in the development of high-strength continuous Casting and rolling technology. The company successfully designed and implemented the "ZYC1065-75WJ oil film bearing," "ZYC1065-75WJJ oil film bearing," and "ZYC985-75WJ oil film bearing" for a high-strength slab continuous casting and rolling mill. Additionally, they contributed to the Shougang 3500 plate mill project, enhancing the performance of heavy machinery used in steel production. Recently, the company's newly developed "ZYC1500-75WJ oil film bearing" underwent a technological achievement evaluation in Benxi City, Liaoning Province. During the event, experts from various fields carefully reviewed the project report and expressed strong confidence in the technical breakthroughs achieved. The successful implementation of these two projects highlights the company's advancements in theoretical research, structural innovation, and equipment manufacturing in the field of oil film bearings. Specifically, the design of the oil film bearings for Benxi Steel’s high-strength thin slab continuous casting and rolling mill broke away from traditional concepts. Through optimized design, the technical performance and operating parameters of the supporting bearings exceeded those of similar foreign products, marking a major step toward the localization of cold and hot rolling mill equipment and breaking the long-standing monopoly by international companies. For the Shougang 3500mm plate mill, the oil film bearings were enhanced with keyless structure, double thrust full symmetry, hydraulic quick-locking mechanisms, improved sealing, and on-line temperature monitoring. These innovations ensured high load capacity, stable operation, excellent sealing, convenient assembly, and reliable performance. Experts at the meeting praised the independent intellectual property rights of the two projects, noting that their overall level has reached an international leading standard. Representatives from steel mills encouraged further promotion of this technology, emphasizing its potential to significantly improve China’s heavy machinery industry. The event was organized by the Science and Technology Department of Shanxi Province, with participation from experts and representatives of major organizations including the China Heavy Machinery Industry Association, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Taiyuan University of Science and Technology, Taiyuan University of Technology, Anshan Iron and Steel, Benxi Steel, Shougang, Wuhan Iron and Steel, Tiangang, and Taigang. This collaborative effort underscores the growing recognition of China’s capabilities in advanced manufacturing and technological innovation.
