Recently, the Daqing Oilfield Company's Oil Production Engineering Research Institute successfully deployed a hollow rotor screw pump truck to Sudan, marking the official implementation of a contract for the supply of 10 screw pumps. This milestone reflects the growing recognition of the institute’s advanced oil production technologies on the global stage. To date, the institute has made significant progress in developing and refining "screw pump oil production technology," achieving cumulative benefits exceeding 2 billion yuan.
In the past year, facing intense market competition, the institute actively developed innovative solutions to strengthen its position in both domestic and international markets. To stabilize and expand the domestic market, the research institute adopted a user-centric approach, focusing on meeting the specific needs of different oilfields. For example, in response to the demand for sand-pumping screw pumps in Jilin Oilfield and the unique challenges of high-pressure layered water injection in Xinjiang, the team proactively engaged with clients to design tailored technical solutions. These efforts led to breakthroughs in large displacement stratified water injection and sand control screw pump technologies, which not only addressed immediate client needs but also elevated the institute’s technical capabilities and expanded its service offerings.
As a result, the institute successfully deployed six oil production units in Jilin Oilfield, installed over 400 screw pumps and supporting tools, and generated more than 1.8 million yuan in total output value, effectively securing its presence in the eastern oilfields. At the same time, the institute focused on expanding into the western oilfields by promoting the application of screw pump technology in Qinghai, Changqing, Xinjiang, and Yumen, while also making inroads into the offshore oilfield market, providing technical support for water displacement operations.
To further develop the international market, the institute focused on deepening its understanding of emerging demands and strengthening its foothold in existing regions. When it learned that the Aden Oilfield in Kazakhstan required pressure testing capabilities during well development—something conventional screw pumps could not provide—the institute seized the opportunity to promote its "Screw Pump Supporting Technology." After extensive discussions, the client quickly adopted the solution. In addition, the institute signed a contract with Sudan for 10 sets of screw pumps and spare parts, all of which have now been delivered to the Sudan VI Oilfield. The technical team will soon travel to the site to provide on-site support, reinforcing the institute’s reputation as a reliable and innovative partner in the global oil industry.
