Sixth article covering the 4-11 alarm fire that occurred on Saturday at 2444 W. 21st Place in Chicago.
Eric Haak shares his insights:
On May 26, 2007, the same building experienced a 2-11 alarm fire during a rainy Saturday afternoon. I’m sharing these photos to provide context, as they show the building in its original condition. The fire appeared to start in the rear section, which is visible in the first photo. A witness I spoke with today mentioned that today’s fire also seemed to originate from the same back area. The second image was taken from the railroad bridge looking east, showing the full length of the structure. The third photo was taken from the west side, near Western Avenue. All images are credited to Eric Haak.

These historical images offer a powerful contrast to the recent fire, highlighting how the building stood before the latest disaster. It's clear that this location has had multiple incidents over the years, and the community continues to be affected by such events.
