Sixth article covering the 4-11 alarm fire that occurred on Saturday at 2444 W. 21st Place in Chicago.
Eric Haak shares his insights:
On May 26, 2007, the same building experienced a 2-11 alarm fire during a rainy Saturday afternoon. I’m sharing these photos to provide context and show how the building looked before the recent incident. The fire on that day appeared to start in the rear section, which is visible in the first photo. A witness I spoke with today mentioned that today’s fire also seems to have originated from the same area. The second image was taken from the railroad bridge looking east, capturing the full length of the structure. The third photo was taken from the west side, near Western Avenue. All images are credited to Eric Haak.
