Aksu Huajin Fertilizer Plant Completed and Put into Production

The Aksu Huajin Fertilizer Plant, under the Liaoning Huajin Group, has successfully launched its large-scale chemical fertilizer production facility in a single start-up. The plant is now producing high-quality urea that meets national standards for premium products. This milestone marks the end of an era where southern Xinjiang had no major fertilizer manufacturing facilities. The Aksu Huajin Fertilizer Plant has an annual capacity of 300,000 tons of synthetic ammonia and 520,000 tons of urea. Located in Kuche County, Aksu Prefecture, Xinjiang, the project was initiated on August 18, 2003, and officially broke ground on February 25, 2004. The facility utilizes production equipment donated by Guangzhou Petrochemical to the Xinjiang region, including advanced first-stage reforming furnaces and other machinery that had been previously unused after the coal gas conversion at the Liaohe Chemical Fertilizer Plant of Liaoning Huajin Group. The construction was carried out by four major companies: China Chemical Engineering Ninth Construction Company, Sinopec Fourth Construction Company, Xinjiang Construction Engineering Group Sixth Construction Company, and Wutie Bureau Construction Company. Over the course of two years, the workforce faced numerous challenges, including harsh desert conditions, long distances from home, and the complex task of transporting large equipment from Guangzhou and Liaoning. Despite these difficulties, the team managed to complete the project successfully. This achievement not only boosts local agricultural development but also strengthens the economic foundation of southern Xinjiang. The successful operation of this large-scale fertilizer plant demonstrates the power of collaboration, determination, and strategic resource utilization in overcoming obstacles and driving regional growth.
