Apartment fires in Glen Ellyn and Bloomingdale 5-9-14

Here's a quick update from John Tulipano:

Just a few photos from the box alarm that took place today in Glen Ellyn at 503 Duane Street. The fire department made a quick response to the scene. It was a single room on the third floor in the rear of a 3-story building that’s a mixed-use structure with apartments above. One resident was taken to Loyola Medical Center for evaluation.

Working Fire in Bloomingdale on May 9, 2014

Another report from John Tulipano:

This was my second call of the day. I wish I had seen smoke and flames, but the fire started in a hot water heater flue within a void space on the first floor and spread upward. It was a relatively quick response with one line used for suppression. The fire was contained quickly, and crews are now doing overhaul.
