When the transformer is in operation, after the light gas protection signal is activated, the cause should be ascertained as soon as possible, and the record should be made. The transformer should be externally inspected and analyzed for gas, and then corresponding treatment measures should be taken according to the inspection result.

External inspection of the transformer Check the indication of the current and voltmeter, the insulation of the DC system, and whether there are other protection action signals. Check if the oil color and oil level of the transformer are normal, and whether the temperature of the upper layer is obviously increased. Check the transformer sound for any abnormalities. Check the oil pillow and explosion-proof tube of the transformer for fuel injection, oil, and deformation of the packing and plug. Check the presence or absence of gas in the gas relay. If any, check the gas. If there is no abnormality in the inspection, the gas relay is filled with transformer oil, but there is no bubble, it is a malfunction.

If there is no obvious abnormality in the above external inspection, the gas analysis should be taken immediately, and the gas should be taken after the power failure. If there is a serious abnormality, the dispatch should be reported, the standby power supply or the standby transformer should be put in, the faulty transformer should be exited, and the test should be carried out without inspection. The qualified transformer shall not be put into operation.

The gas analysis determines that the gas or incoming air that is deposited during the slight fault inside the transformer accumulates in the gas relay, so that the light gas relay acts to send a signal. When taking the gas, observe the volume of the gas in the gas relay, open the venting valve to take the gas, and then identify the color and flammability of the gas. The identification of the color and flammability of the gas should be carried out quickly to prevent the precipitation of colored substances. It will disappear after a certain period of time. The gas analysis is determined as follows:

The gas is colorless, odorless, non-flammable, and enters the air inside the transformer. It may be due to the new installation of the transformer or the maintenance, refueling, etc., and then enter the air. After the work is completed, it is not completely discharged. It may also be in operation cooling, and the submersible pump and the like are not tightly sealed into the air.

The gas taken is color, non-flammable, and cannot be determined to be air. The oil sample should be taken to the professional for testing. If the carbon monoxide content is found to increase, it may be a gas that is decomposed by solid (essential) insulation overheating damage.

The gas taken is colored, odorous and flammable. It is a minor internal fault and should be shut down for maintenance. When checking if the gas is flammable, keep it away from the transformer. According to the inspection result, no abnormalities and malfunctions were found on the external inspection of the transformer. The gas relay is filled with oil, but there is no gas, which may be malfunctioning. At this time, the internal and contact position of the gas relay should be checked. Whether the DC system insulation and the gas signal drop can be reset. If the gas relay contact is in the open position, the gas signal can not be reset. The DC system is poorly insulated and may be DC. Misoperation caused by point grounding; gas relay contact is in the open position, the gas signal can not be reset, the DC system insulation is normal, it may be a malfunction caused by the short circuit of the secondary circuit, the short circuit point should be identified and eliminated; the gas relay contact is at When the position is turned on, the gas signal can be reset, and the DC system is in good insulation. It may be caused by excessive vibration caused by excessive vibration, and the cause of the fault is detected and eliminated. If the gas relay is checked in the closed position, the gas signal can not be reset, and the DC system insulation is good. It may be a problem of the gas relay itself (such as the fault of the float oil). In this case, the power should be cut off.

Check the transformer and find that there is no oil in the oil pillow of the transformer, the oil level is lower than the gas relay, and there is no abnormal phenomenon. The light gas reports the signal, which may be caused by the oil level being too low and causing gas action. At this time, the standby transformer or backup power supply should be put into operation. , exit the faulty transformer, there is oil leakage, deal with oil leakage, and then refuel to the required oil level.

No obvious abnormalities and malfunctions were found, and gas was found in the gas relay. Take the gas inspection and analysis. If the inspection gas is colorless, odorless, non-flammable, it may be entering the air, releasing the gas, and monitoring the signal to report the time interval. If the signal operation time interval is gradually short, it indicates that there is a fault inside the transformer and may trip. At this time, each signal action time should be recorded in detail, and immediately report to the relevant dispatcher and superior leadership. If the gas enters the gas inside the gas relay, the intake cause and the intake point should be found. There is no standby transformer, according to the dispatch command. Change the weight of the gas to the signal position. If the color of the inspection gas is very light, non-flammable, and it is not certain that it is air, report to the dispatcher and superior supervisor to closely monitor the transformer. Take the oil sample and send it to the professional for testing. If there is any problem, it should be immediately shut down for maintenance. If the inspection gas is colored, odorous and flammable, it may be a minor fault inside the transformer. At this time, the standby transformer and the backup power supply should be put into operation, and the faulty transformer should be powered off and repaired.

Found that the transformer has abnormal and obvious faults, put into the standby transformer or backup power supply, exit the faulty transformer, take gas inspection analysis and judgment.
