Gold containing ore heap leaching may be of the type of ore, the mineral composition, the chemical composition, structure, configuration, storage and quality and other factors. The ore suitable for heap leaching must have sufficient permeability, large porosity, loose porosity, low content of impurity components which are favorable for cyanidation, clean surface of fine gold, and minimum of mud. A feasibility study is often required before industrial production to determine whether the ore is suitable for optimum process parameters during heap leaching. At the same time, experimental tests and extended tests should be carried out to determine the optimum crushing particle size, concentration of leaching agent, consumption of leaching agent, amount of saturated solution required, type of protective alkali, concentration and consumption, solution spray method, The basin, the infiltration time, the amount of washing liquid, the number of washings and the washing time, and the oxygen content of the solution. The design should also consider the size of the heap, the location of the heap immersion field, the material of the cushion, the pump and the reservoir, the position of the high pool, etc. The correct selection of the location of the heap leaching field and the use of favorable terrain can greatly reduce the capital investment.
