Covering an area of 34.39 square kilometers, with a total investment ranging from 30 to 50 billion yuan, the "Changfu Auto World" — China's largest auto parts base — officially opened in Caidian District's Changfu New City yesterday. The project is expected to create employment for 100,000 people and will play a significant role in shaping the automotive industry in Wuhan. Over the next 5 to 10 years, it aims to evolve into a "satellite city" that highlights Jiangcheng’s automobile culture.
The project was developed by Malaysian overseas Chinese entrepreneur Li Sanchun. Located at the intersection of Jingzhu, Hurong Highways, and National Highway 318 in the southeast of Caidian District, it is strategically positioned near the Wuhan Development Zone. The complex is divided into ten distinct zones, including an auto parts production base, an R&D center, and an automobile logistics area.
What makes Changfu Auto World unique is its strong focus on automotive culture. It features a car museum, off-road driving areas, and residential zones dedicated to major car brands. These facilities are designed to promote both leisure and cultural tourism, offering a modern and immersive experience for visitors and residents alike.
According to Zhang Zaiyuan, Dean of Wuhan University's Urban Planning Research Institute, the annual output value of Changfu Auto World is projected to reach 100 billion yuan. This will not only complement the functions of the Zhuankou Auto City but also help establish a more complete automotive industry system in Wuhan. In addition, it will provide stable job opportunities for thousands of local residents.
