The Netherlands has developed an energy-efficient car engine that can be mounted directly on wheels.

Recently, a Dutch inventor introduced a groundbreaking hybrid engine that can be directly integrated into a car’s wheels. This innovative engine is mounted on the wheels themselves. It uses a small diesel generator to charge a battery, which then powers an electric motor embedded within the wheel hub. The motor generates electromagnetic force, which propels the wheel forward without relying on traditional mechanical transmission systems. The technology shares similarities with maglev (magnetic levitation) trains, which use electromagnetic forces to move along a track. In this case, the modified vehicle creates a kind of "track" using a circular steel shaft. As the electromagnetic force interacts with the wheels, they spin rapidly, allowing the vehicle to move forward smoothly and efficiently. Inventor Ainan claims that this new hybrid system can be retrofitted onto any bus without requiring special training for drivers. He explains that buses, which frequently stop and start, consume a lot of fuel. Installing this system can reduce fuel consumption by up to 60% and cut exhaust emissions by as much as 80%. Additionally, the system operates almost silently, earning it the nickname “whisperer.” Drivers who have tested the modified buses have praised its performance. They noted the exceptionally low noise levels and smooth ride, making both drivers and passengers very satisfied with the experience. Currently, cities like Utrecht and Rotterdam in the Netherlands are planning to implement this new engine in some of their public transportation vehicles. Countries such as France, Germany, and Australia have also shown interest in adopting this technology, signaling a potential shift toward greener and quieter urban mobility solutions.
