Nissei Plastic Industry Co., Ltd. has launched a new line of injection molding machines called the "FNX" series, featuring an advanced pump system that combines a servo motor with hydraulic pressure as its power source. This innovative system was first introduced in the "PNX" series back in September 2005. The FNX series improves energy efficiency by using the motor only when necessary, resulting in approximately 10% less power consumption compared to the older 1078kN model. The lineup includes four models: "FNX80-9A / 12A" with a clamping force of 784kN and "FNX110-18A / 25A" with a clamping force of 1078kN. The FNX80-9A is priced at 8.9 million yen, while the FNX110-18A costs 10.5 million yen. The FNX series also offers faster injection preparation time, reaching as fast as 45ms. The injection speed can be adjusted between 1 to 300mm per second, providing greater flexibility for various applications. Thanks to reduced flow losses, drive power consumption is cut by up to 41% compared to previous hydraulic presses. Additionally, the system enhances repeatability, reducing product quality instability to about one-third of what it was before. In terms of the clamping mechanism, the FNX series adopts the same direct clamping design as the PNX series. This ensures even distribution of clamping force across the mold, maintaining long-term parallelism and improving mold stability. The system supports a wide range of mold thicknesses and allows for quicker mold changes, boosting overall production efficiency. These improvements make the FNX series a reliable and efficient choice for manufacturers looking to enhance performance while reducing energy use and downtime.
