Korean ship fittings industry introduces "unified AS"

So far, ships built by Korean shipyards have provided AS (warranty) services five years after delivery, but then the shipowners are looking for small and medium-sized ship parts companies for repairs.
Therefore, the Korean ship fittings company has recently established the “Korea Shipbuilding Marine Ship Accessories Global Support Center” near the New Port in Busan, South Korea for the “Unified AS” project.
A package AS system is being prepared from the registration, ordering, and distribution of ship parts information to checkout.
Park yunso, chairman of the Korea Marine Equipment Association, stressed the need for cooperation between the government, shipyards and ship fittings companies to increase the localization ratio of ship fittings and expand exports.
