Uniform accessories? Imagination space VS backbone reality

These two days are convening a national motor vehicle repair and maintenance work conference. I wish the conference will bear fruit in the autumn season! For those who have been struggling for many years in the automotive aftermarket industry, it will bring hope to Internet entrepreneurs who have just broken into the post market...

Before the conference, several heavy news about the aftermarket of the car had previously excited the industry. When the Ministry of Transport issued a document to urge the maintenance industry to upgrade and upgrade, it had written several articles to discuss this topic. Sogou Lane Search - Interpretation of the "automotive industry transformation and upgrading" business opportunities.

Recently, I was busy on the line of the car Orange and Sharon on September 25. I did not have time to interpret these news. When I communicated with my colleagues, I felt that everyone thought that the mandatory disclosure of technical materials, the unified coding of accessories, and the antitrust of previous accessories. It means that the spring of the aftermarket is coming. Especially for those friends who do car information services, they are more interested in the uniform coding of accessories... I know these are all new policies and they are all big changes, but it doesn't mean that the post-market spring is not yet. It is concluded that although the industry currently has capital to enter, it is still struggling. I am busy with all kinds of work, and I have no time to clarify these issues one by one. Compared with technical information and accessories anti-monopoly, I believe that the problem of unified coding of accessories is even more serious. Professionalism, so I try to make this professional topic as simple as possible.

First throw out three "common sense":

First, parts and accessories are not two completely equivalent concepts. Relatively speaking, parts and components are parts of production, and parts are parts of service. The circulation chain needs the commodity code, the terminology is called the supervision code, and it is the code necessary for the government to supervise the circulation of commodities. In recent years, China has used a lot of food and medicine, but at present, the unified coding of auto parts is not available in any country in the world. If China does this, it will create a precedent for the application of the global GS1 standard. This has made me an aftermath of the post-market practitioners!

Second, the production and manufacturing links need product codes, which are necessary for enterprises to complete production and internal and external quality control. The current Three Guarantees and recalls need this code to achieve accurate traceability to each vehicle. Major joint ventures When brand manufacturers began to recall this matter in 2004, they began to specify the component coding system for each component. At that time, it was impossible for independent brands to recall because there was no way to know which component was installed in which vehicle. If you really want to recall a big trouble, in recent years this system of independent brand has also been built, so there is a recall of independent brands. Globally, each car company has its own product coding system, and all manufacturers are different, but basically it is a 10-13-digit code. The content is basically a “coded segment of a model code segment”, which is equivalent to the name, but Toyota Honda's spare parts coding segment precedes the model code segment, while Volkswagen et al. contrasts with our own brand.

Third, we do not lack a standard for uniform component coding. With regard to the coding standards for automotive component products, China has already had national-level rules for coding automotive components since 1990. By the end of 2004, component codes had been updated. The QC/T265-2004 standard and later the Automatic Identification Technology Association also introduced the "Application Guide for the GS1 System Coding Standard for Automotive Components". And for the product coding principles that can be used for automotive parts, the country also has the GBT16986 national standard equivalent to ISO28219. Theoretically, parts and components should have a unified coding standard long ago. However, today both the world and China, regardless of production or circulation, are "pervasive", but it does not seem to affect the development of the industry. The coding of European, American and Japanese parts is not uniform, and they have not seen their counterfeit parts go rampant!

The so-called first-class companies sell standards, second-rate companies sell brands, third-rate companies sell products ... ... we are basically in the stage of selling products, want to be a brand, so you have to apply other people's standards. However, one of the world’s largest auto markets will sooner or later have the right to speak in standard setting, or else it will be passive—it’s a long way to go, and continues to talk about the international standard for uniform coding of accessories.

Judging from the implementation of international standards for unified coding of accessories, at present hundreds of countries around the world use the GS1 standard jointly controlled by the European Union and the United States. This is a standard family, similar to the ISO system. Born in the golden age of capitalism - 1974. At this time, the maintenance trade association and the China Article Numbering Center cooperated and basically coded according to this international standard for auto parts. However, there is no precedent for this matter even in Europe and the United States. Because in the European and American markets, the auto aftermarket is not a tall industry, but it is already an oligopolistic monopoly. Each has its own coding and circulation system and there is no unified demand. The OEM can use the EDI electronic data exchange technology and the MMOG logistics operation guide to solve the logistics, distribution and quality control problems of different component coding systems. Domestic auto manufacturers have given new codes to accessories through secondary packaging of accessories, and can also solve digital identification problems such as bar code identification of parts circulation.

This time the reason for unifying the parts code is that domestic parts have serious fake and shoddy problems. Prior to this, the problem of counterfeit drugs was serious. The National Drug Administration system basically solved this problem with a unified drug code. If sogou search I wrote "Smart Medical VS "Intelligent after-service", we will know that anti-counterfeit traceability systems that can solve drug problems can theoretically be used in auto parts. However, I think that it is not a unified code that really solves this problem. Instead, the drug administration department has the sword. If you don't use a unified code, you can't enter the health care procurement platform, whether it is real medicine or fake medicine. Even OTC drugs won't enter. A variety of pharmacies and e-commerce platforms cannot be circulated. This is the life and death gate of pharmaceutical companies.

Not to mention the parts and components code on the production line inside the main engine plant. Even if only the auto parts that are required to enter circulation are coded, there are three things that must be done:

(1) The government has no power to control the purchase of auto parts. This is an over-competitive market. The scale of the market is several hundred billion. There is almost no financial services intervention. The circulation of “white bars” and “triangular debt” only depends on the entire market. Can run freely. If you imitate drugs, you must require all insurance companies to participate in the procurement of accident accessories - this will lead to a drastic change in the insurance industry ... ... let the drastic changes come more violently: )

(2) The government has to establish a central database of accessories. All production parts must enter the code of each part into this database, and they must not enter the database. No matter how the database is to be built, the government will enforce each part. The factory honestly entered the data? This is not an anesthetic drug. It may involve drugs and crimes. Everyone knows that government supervision has a legal basis, but a barrel of motor oil imposes compulsion on enterprises for whatever reason.

(3) Establishing a verification system for the distribution of parts and components. Once any part has been sold, it must be systematically written off and the same part must not be written off for the second time. This will make it impossible to circulate the accessories for the bar code. It is of course welcome to develop the accessories distribution company that operates the ticket-abiding business. However, after all, it is a minority. Why should most of the accessories and husband-and-wife shops use the verification system established by the government? If that is the case, then all of them are under the control of the government. First of all, regardless of the profit space for selling false accessories, how can they avoid tax?

In fact, the benefits of doing this thing are numerous. I have no time to say, but there are still a lot of cases in which the first thing to talk about is equal to utopian thought. For example, the German Volkswagen can control the circulation of accessories in its own 4S shop system. The code of the parts in the system is corresponding to each maintenance. No matter whether it is a three pack or a recall, it is completely set. In this case, how do you do it? Convince Volkswagen to replace its existing coding rules with an external uniform coding rule? Bosch, ZF, Mobil... These accessories giants are willing to use special coding rules in the Chinese market?

Of course, the Chinese market, NB, may require these multinational giants to compromise with us, but this should also be an alternative solution, such as through the EDI electronic data exchange system, as a unified code of the accessories and the manufacturer's original "translation". The technology to solve the problem has long been available, but it seems that many people do not want this problem to be solved. At present, the EDI application in the automobile circulation field is basically zero. Electronic data exchange has just been introduced into the OEM of the independent brand soon. The market is still in the literacy stage. Many people talk about post-market e-commerce, talking about supply chain finance. To tell the truth, even EDI is not widely used. Even GS1 standards are not available. E-commerce can only be used as a concept to earn investors’ money and play with real money. , but also hope that the colleagues in the maintenance industry associations to force, promote the unified coding standard components landing, this is a great thing, I hope everyone will support the maintenance industry association to make this acolyte!
