Thomas Tool Releases New Deep Hole Cemented Carbide Bit Up to 8xD

The special round-corner design provides better protection against wear and breakage. It is specially prepared for machining under harsh conditions, such as cross-hole machining. The 140-degree angle design makes centering and cutting thrust reduction easier.

The R459 also has protection against premature wear and flaking. In addition, the inner cooling holes provide better cooling at the cutting location and efficient chip evacuation, reducing downtime.

The current size of Dormer's R459 is from 3mm–16mm, including 0.1mm increments to 10.0mm, with a titanium aluminum nitride (TiAlN) coating.
