Parts suppliers accelerate the layout of the Chinese market

Bosch has invested RMB 700 million to build factories and R&D centers in Changsha to produce start-stop systems and other automotive parts that can reduce fuel consumption. In addition to the start-stop system at the Changsha plant, Bosch also manufactures start-stop systems in Changchun and Shandong.

More and more domestic models will carry "start-stop system"

At the AUTOTEC exhibition held in Beijing on July 8th, Sun Guozhong, president of Bosch's starter and generator division in China, said in an interview, "We are actively developing cooperation with the main engine plant and we are currently working on more than 10 hosts in China. The factory has started cooperation, including models for the Bosch start-stop system, including the Great Wall, Geely, and Changan, which will be launched soon."

Prior to this, the Ministry of Finance had issued a policy that the weakest hybrid vehicle with an intelligent “start-stop” system for the engine would receive a financial subsidy of 4,000 yuan from the finance department. Car manufacturers also accurately smelled this business opportunity. For example, the Changan CX30 sedan and the newly redesigned SAIC Roewe 550 all use the automatic start-stop system. It can be foreseen that more manufacturers will enter this huge potential market in the future. It is understood that the cost of assembling and stopping the system is mainly determined by the configuration of the vehicle. An ordinary family car will increase the cost of about 2,000 yuan.
