Japan develops new technology for marine parts for ships of 300,000 tons

Based on existing presses, Kobe Steel has developed a new technology for manufacturing high-strength marine parts. The engine parts produced by this technology are 20% stronger than ordinary products and can be used on very large ships. The technology is also a lightweight technology that reduces the amount of steel used, providing additional advantages for its subsequent applications.
This technology is mainly used in crankshaft parts of marine engines. The prior art was improved during the development process. The previous production process applied pressure to the four corners to increase the strength. This time, the strength was increased by fixing only the side of the steel that was easily deformed.
This technology is of great significance for improving the strength of power generating parts of large ships of 300,000 tons.

Two platen design, super open stroke.

Electrical clamp fast movement driven by servo motor and ball screw spindle, shorter cycle time, more precise( optional) .

High stiffness platen support, bigger mould weight capacity.

Pressure build- up in 4 cylinder synchronously, more even clamp force, longer service life.

Fast mould change, shorter tie- bar, easy to add additional device of tie- bar puller.

Less moving componment, less lubrication point, less maintenance cost.

Excellence European controller, touch screen, easy operation, stable and reliable.
