Industrial producer prices remained flat in March

Drying equipment In March 2013, the ex-factory prices of industrial producers nationwide fell by 1.9% year-on-year, unchanged from the previous month (up or down by 0). The purchase price of industrial producers decreased by 2.0% year-on-year and decreased by 0.1% month-on-month. In the first quarter, the producer prices of industrial producers fell by 1.7% year-on-year, and the purchase prices of industrial producers decreased by 1.9% year-on-year.


I. The year-on-year change in prices of industrial producers


In the ex-factory price of industrial producers, the price of production materials fell by 2.7% year-on-year, affecting the total level of ex-factory prices of industrial producers nationwide by approximately 2.00 percentage points. Among them, the price of mining industry fell by 5.6%, the price of raw material industry decreased by 3.2%, and the price of processing industry decreased by 2.1%. The price of living materials rose by 0.5% year-on-year, affecting the overall level of the producer prices of industrial producers nationwide by about 0.12 percentage points. Among them, food prices rose 1.2%, clothing prices rose 1.4%, general commodity prices rose 0.3%, durable consumer goods prices fell 0.8%.



Among the purchase prices of industrial producers, the price of ferrous materials fell by 5.0% year-on-year, that of non-ferrous metal materials and wires dropped by 3.7%, that of fuel-powered vehicles decreased by 3.2%, and that of agricultural and sideline products increased by 1.9%.

According to calculations, in the month-to-year decline in the total level of factory prices of industrial manufacturers in March of 1.9%, the tailgate factor for price changes last year was about -2.3%, and the new price increase factor was about 0.4%.


Second, the industrial producer price chain changes

In the ex-factory price of industrial producers, the ex-factory price of production materials was flat (the increase or decrease was 0). Among them, the price of mining industry rose by 0.4%, the price of raw material industry rose by 0.1%, and the price of processing industry decreased by 0.1%. The price of living materials fell by 0.1%. Among them, food prices fell by 0.2%, and prices of clothing, general daily necessities, and durable consumer goods both fell by 0.1%.


Among the purchase prices of industrial producers, fuel and power prices rose by 0.5%, prices of wood and pulp rose by 0.4%, prices of ferrous metal materials and textile raw materials rose by 0.1%, and prices of non-ferrous metal materials and wires dropped by 1.1%. The price of agricultural and sideline products decreased by 0.6%.
