This is from Eric Haak:
I responded to a fire around 1:30 PM on Saturday afternoon in Chicago’s 23rd Battalion. The fire was on the second floor of an empty 25x40 two-flat located on the 7200 block of South Constance. The units on scene included Engine 126 and Truck 49, Engine 72 and Tower Ladder 34, with Truck 16 and Battalion 17 serving as RIT. Due to the narrow streets and dense tree cover, it was challenging to get clear shots from any of the apparatus. The fire was quickly knocked down, but crews spent a significant amount of time doing overhaul, remaining on the scene for just over an hour. Interestingly, Engine 126 was using Engine 56 as a backup rig during the response.

It's always interesting to see how the conditions on the ground affect the response. This one had its challenges, but the crews handled it well. Looking forward to more updates and photos from the scene.
