Better-than-expected sales Attractive valuations attractive
We believe that the new EU-III emission standards set by the government may slow the growth of heavy-duty truck sales in the second half of 2008. It is estimated that the company’s engine sales in July and August will be around 22,000 units and 20,000 units respectively, which is better than market expectations. At present, the company’s engine sales in the second half of 2008 will remain at 108,400 units, and the forecast for the year-on-year increase of 27% to 310,000 units will remain unchanged. However, considering that July and August are traditionally the off-season sales season, they are from September to December. The sales volume should be higher than July and August. The company has the most complete heavy truck and parts industrial chain in the country. If the sales data in September is better than expected, we may increase our sales forecast for 2008.
