The plant was put into operation in 1968 with a design scale of 5 million t/a and was expanded in 1980 with a scale of 6.5 million t/a.
(1) The nature of the ore: Ores plant treated magnetic iron quartzite, pyroxene - quartz rock magnet, magnet - pyroxene quartzite, hematite - four types pyroxenite magnet, which magnet quartzite. The iron minerals in the ore are mainly magnetite, followed by the illusion of hematite. Gangue minerals quartz, diopside, followed perilla pyroxene, hornblende, garnet sub stone, biotite, in addition there are small amounts of apatite, zircon, spinel and carbonate minerals .
The ore is in a crystal-morphic structure, with medium and coarse particles in the black strip, of which 2~0.3mm ranks about 50%, more than 0.074mm ranks 80~90%; imaginary hematite mostly exceeds 0.074mm; The diopside particle size is 0.2~0.15mm, which is semi-automorphic crystal; the peridotite is fine grained with a particle size of 0.3~0.5mm, and the wide plate shape can reach 2~8mm; the light color band The quartz has a particle size of 0.2 to 0.5 mm and is inlaid with each other in a staggered shape.
The ore structure is dominated by strips and coarse strips, and the oxidized ore is mostly distributed near the surface oxidation zone and the ore fault fracture zone. As the depth of mining changes, the amount of oxidized ore is gradually decreasing.
The chemical composition of ore is mainly iron and silicon, and the content of harmful impurities is very low. The iron grade is between 24 and 32%, with an average of 26.71%.
