Tektronix, the world's leading supplier of test, measurement and monitoring equipment, announced today that the TLA6000 Series logic analyzers have been named 2010 Hot 100 products by EDN Magazine. This award honors the best products of the year that contribute to the advancement of the electronics industry.
This year Hot100 products were selected by the EDN editorial board for EDN editors and readers to recognize the hottest new products in the electronics industry. The TLA6000 series logic analyzer introduced in September 2010 was selected as the Hot 100 for its high performance and high economical efficiency, providing high-end debugging and analysis capabilities for mainstream embedded system designers.
"With faster signal transmission speeds and higher substrate density, embedded system engineers face a large number of signal integrity problems. It is almost impossible to complete the test without tools with high-end debug capabilities," said Dave Farrell, product line director, logic analyzers, Tektronix. Says, "The selection of Hot100 products this year shows that TLA6000 series logic analyzers with their advanced logic analysis capabilities can meet the actual market demand at an extremely economical price."
The TLA6000 Series logic analyzers can be configured with 68, 102, and 136 digital channels, all with timing resolutions of up to 125 ps, state acquisition capability of up to 450 MHz and memory depth of 128 Mb. This level of performance has achieved a major breakthrough in cost performance.
The TLA6000 series enhances engineering design efficiency through several advanced features. For example, iCaptureTM technology provides digital acquisition and analog acquisition simultaneously through a logic analyzer probe, eliminating the need for two acquisitions. Glitch triggering and storage allow the user to trigger and display the observed signal integrity errors, while the iViewTM display provides a time-dependent, useful view of the logic analyzer and oscilloscope data on the same display. Simple and intuitive instrument setup helps speed up the design process in a busy lab environment, saving time.
The TLA6000 Series logic analyzers are suitable for a variety of debug and analysis applications, including signal integrity analysis, field programmable gate array (FPGA) debug and verification, mobile industry processor interface (MIPI) protocol analysis, storage system verification, embedded Software integration and debugging.
