Scania unveiled 08 International Motor Show in Hannover, Germany

Scania, one of the world's leading manufacturers of heavy-duty trucks and large buses and industrial engines, gathered its strong product lineup at the 2008 Hanover International Commercial Vehicle Show in Germany. Scania's product range is rich, diverse, and technologically advanced. Including not only the world's No. 1 exhaust-free after-treatment system to meet Euro V standards; P, G, R truck series and many improved cabs; and Scania's professional driver training theme exhibition, fuel economy Thematic exhibitions and Scania service demonstrations include daily and emergency bus service projects as well as the optimization of operational economic development services. In addition, Scania launched the "2009 European Youth Truck Driver Contest" at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Hannover.

At the 2008 International Motor Show in Hannover, Germany, the R400 4X2?R480 4x2 trucks displayed at Scania used EGR exhaust gas recirculation technology and met Euro V emission standards. The state-of-the-art Scania R620 4X2 is equipped with the Scania SCR technology (Selective catalytic reduction from Scania) and carries a 620 hp V8 engine. The Scania P380 4X2 light-duty tractor is a compact P-type sleeper body equipped with a 380 hp Euro V engine.

The construction vehicles Scania showed include the G420 6X4 light dump truck and the R440 6x2*4 heavy-duty truck. At the same time, there are two short-range delivery vehicles: P280 4X2 trucks that meet the current European Emissions Standard (EEV), the most stringent emission standard, and P280 trucks with vans. The special vehicles exhibited by Scania include the P270 6X2*4 low-entry chassis garbage truck equipped with an ethanol engine, suitable for waste shipments or short-range delivery, which can reduce CO2 emissions by 90% and meet EEV standards. The low-entry chassis body is very convenient for getting on and off the vehicle, and the interaction space is designed properly. The hybrid engine can facilitate users to use renewable fuels. In addition, the six-seat and eight-seat cabs exhibited show Scania's advantage in the field of fire engines.

Scania's bus range includes the Scania OmniCity low floor bus, the Scania Irizar i4 intercity bus, the Scania PB luxury bus, and the Scania Omni City equipped with an ethanol fuel engine. The car is currently in trial operation.

Scania also proudly demonstrated its leading engine technology. A new EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) engine that can meet Euro V emission standards without the need for aftertreatment systems and additives, marks a new breakthrough for Scania's technology in the engine sector. The Scania engine range includes engines that meet Euro 5 emission standards and the most stringent European EVV standard (enhanced environmentally friendly vehicles).

At the hybrid technology level, Scania's new 9-litre ethanol engine allows drivers to choose renewable fuels on the market. According to the company, this engine can reduce CO2 emissions by nearly 90%. In addition, Scania also exhibited its traditional advantages of technology - power and torque ratio technology to determine the performance of the vehicle, as well as the drive system for fuel economy.

For Scania, paying attention to the driver is an eternal topic. Drivers play a decisive role in road traffic safety, fuel consumption, operating economy, accident prevention and environmental impact. The auto show also started the "2009 European Youth Truck Driver Contest" and accepted interested drivers to register at the Scania booth.

Scania also has an exhibition on operational economy related topics that users are very concerned about. In addition, Scania's 30 different service items for users are also available through the booth. On the subject of operational economy, Scania also highlighted its new driver training platform to help users meet the requirements of the current EU requirements for driver capabilities.
