IEA: U.S. will become the world's largest oil producer in 2015

Reuters reported on November 12 in London that the International Energy Agency (IEA) stated in its latest issue of the 2013 World Energy Outlook report on the 12th that the United States will surpass Saudi Arabia and Russia to become the world’s largest oil producer in 2015 China, this will make the United States closer to the goal of achieving energy self-sufficiency and further reduce the demand for OPEC crude oil.
As the United States domestic shale oil boom reversed the decline in oil production, the International Energy Agency predicted in the 2012 World Energy Outlook report that the United States will surpass Saudi Arabia in 2017 to become the world’s largest oil producer.
However, the International Energy Agency said that by 2020, oil fields in Texas and North Dakota will no longer be the prime time for oil production, and the Middle East will regain its dominance, especially as Asia’s supremacy of suppliers.
ITI’s chief economist, Fatih Birol, introduced the outlook this year at a press conference in London on the 12th, saying that the IEA is now expected to be reordered. "We expect the United States to become the world's largest oil producer in 2015," Birol said.
