Dreschler explained that the EU and the United States have completely different automotive markets. Therefore, the tire size and other requirements are also different.
“However, we expect that in the future, Chinese tire manufacturers will increase production of tires required by the European Union.†He stressed that by then, Chinese tires will affect the normal operation of the EU market.
As to whether the EU will follow the United States to impose high tariffs on Chinese tires, the head of BRV said: "It is not yet known whether the EU will take similar measures to cope with competition from China."
