Fault phenomenon: A CNC grinding machine adopts SIEMENS 810 system. When the machine is turned back to the reference point, ALMll21 alarm and ALMl681 alarm appear on the Y axis.
Analysis and processing: SIEMENS 810 system ALMll21 alarm meaning is "Y-axis follow-up error is too large (YCLAMPING MONITORING)"; ALMl681 alarm is "service enable signal cancellation (SERVO ENABLEN TRAV.AXIS)".
Manually moving the Y axis, found that the coordinate value display of the Y axis on the CRT has changed, but the actual Y axis servo motor has no movement. When the Y display reaches the following error limit set in the machine parameter, the 1121 alarm appears.
Check the servo unit of the machine tool. When a fault occurs, the H1/A alarm lamp on its corresponding servo controller is on, indicating that the servo motor is overloaded.
According to the above phenomenon analysis, the fault may be caused by excessive resistance of moving parts. In order to determine the location of the fault, the servo motor was disconnected from the mechanical parts during maintenance and the inspection found that the mechanical load was light, because the Y axis of the machine tool used a servo motor with a brake, and the preliminary determination of the fault was due to a bad brake.
In order to confirm the operation of the servo motor brake, confirm that the brake is operating normally by adding an external power supply. Further check the connection line of the brake and found that the power connection of the brake is poor and the brake could not be completely released. After the connection is reconnected, the fault disappears.
