Tire market competition upgrade major companies to play service cards

The world’s tire industry leader, the Michelin Group, announced on March 28 that it will launch a series of after-sales service programs called “According to You”. Xia Yifu, Chairman of Michelin (China) Investment Co., Ltd., said that the plan made Michelin "the only tire brand on the market that provides such comprehensive after-sales service." And its rival Goodyear, has recently launched a "car nanny plan."

Auto industry analysts believe that the competition of the two tire giants in the Chinese tire market is constantly escalating. It is understood that with the increase in the number of vehicle ownership in China, consumer demand for car-related services is also growing. At the same time, consumers’ lack of knowledge about tire products, especially tire repair and maintenance, is also on a daily basis. Whether or not you have good service content and systems has become a standard that consumers increasingly value when choosing tires. According to Michelin's prediction, the size of the replacement tire market can reach two to three times over the next 10 years.
