New R & D in India Solar cells complete charging in 30 seconds using natural room lighting

Often the energy collected by a solar cell needs to be stored in a conventional battery and output through these conventional batteries. However, the recent Indian research team successfully canceled the intermediate storage process. The battery they created was replaced by a titanium nitride-based photoanode to replace the traditional anode, allowing the battery to self-charge with solar or artificial light.

The team, led by Professor Musthafa Ottakam Thotiyl of the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, uses natural room lighting to recharge in less than 30 seconds. Then be able to release enough LED lights photos or small fan power output, can be sustained 100 charge / discharge cycles. In addition, titanium nitride photoanode more stable than the traditional anode, to avoid battery overheating and fire and so on.
