Hitachi and domestic companies carry out energy conservation cooperation

On January 21st, at the “3rd Hitachi Energy Saving and Environmental Protection Technology Exchange Conference” co-sponsored by the National Development and Reform Commission Small & Medium Enterprise External Cooperation Exchange Center and Hitachi, Hitachi and Yuntianhua Group signed a letter of intent for motor frequency conversion retrofitting project. The comprehensive utilization of coke oven gas in Shanxi Province signed a cooperation agreement with the Hejin project.

Hitachi and Yuntianhua Group's project is one of the "China-Japan energy-saving and environmental business promotion demonstration projects" of the Chinese and Japanese governments. Hitachi will provide inverter equipment for high-voltage motor equipment to Yuntianhua Group. After the equipment is put into use, the energy consumption of Yuntianhua Group can be reduced by more than 20% per year. Hitachi stated that after the completion of the project construction, the effect of energy conservation and emission reduction will be tested.

Comprehensive utilization of coke oven gas in Shanxi Province The Hejin Project is a power generation project for the use of coke oven gas for environmental protection in Shanxi Province. The objective of the first phase is to achieve annual treatment of 684 million cubic meters of coke oven gas, and the second phase is to treat 156 million cubic meters of coke oven gas annually. In 2009, it invested in grid-connected power generation. Hitachi will provide three H-25 gas turbine generator sets for this project.

It is understood that these two projects are Hitachi's "Environmental Conception 2025" energy conservation promotion project in China. In order to promote exchanges and cooperation between China and Japan in the field of energy conservation and environmental protection, Hitachi will hold an annual energy conservation and environmental protection technology exchange meeting to strengthen the communication and cooperation between China and Japan in energy saving and environmental protection technologies.
