The hydrogen fuel cell bus independently developed by Beiqi Foton is known as the “tail gas can be used for fish bus”. Passenger cars use hydrogen and oxygen as fuel, and their emissions are pure water, and they can be directly consumed. This zero-emission clean bus will directly serve the Beijing Olympics.

Cooperating with Cummins to produce engines: The company jointly established Beijing Foton Cummins Engine Company with registered capital of 1.008 billion yuan, accounting for 25%. The total investment of the project is 277.87 million yuan. The first product of the joint venture company is an in-line 4-cylinder 2.8-liter direct-injection diesel engine, and the second one is an in-line 4-cylinder 3.8-liter direct-injection diesel engine. After production, the total production capacity is 400,000 units per year. The company will become Cummins's only production base for light diesel engines outside the United States. In April 2008, the company invested 12.548 million yuan to acquire a 12.45% stake in Foton Cummins Engines. Cummins is a global leader in power equipment manufacturers, with Cummins headquartered in the United States. Together with Cummins, the company’s diesel engine project will produce significant benefits and the company will usher in new profit growth points.
