Chicago working fire at 1802 N. Sheffield 1-8-12

On Sunday morning, Karl Klotz captured a working fire in Chicago at 1802 N. Sheffield. He shared several photos along with a detailed account of the incident: > "Chicago working fire at 1802 N. Sheffield. Fire on the second floor of a two-story apartment building located above commercial spaces. Tower Ladder 10 made a rescue from the second floor using their main ladder." Karl provided a series of powerful images showing the response by the Chicago Fire Department. The first photo shows Engine Co. 55 and Truck Co. 44 arriving on the scene. Another image captures Engine 55 laying down a 2½-inch line, while Truck Co. 44 is seen extending a ladder to the roof and placing a ground ladder. Members of Engine Co. 22 are also shown preparing a second line. Tower Ladder 10 is seen positioning itself against the building, and flames are visible coming from the second-floor windows. A particularly striking shot shows Tower Ladder 10 assisting an occupant down from the second floor, with firefighters helping the resident to the ground.
