4-Alarm fire in Milwaukee, 7-19-19

The Milwaukee Fire Department responded to a fourth-alarm fire on Friday afternoon at Aguilar’s Welding, located on West National Avenue near South 14th Street. The blaze sent thick plumes of smoke into the sky, which were clearly visible from Interstate 94. Firefighters faced extreme heat and dangerous materials inside the building, making it a challenging situation to bring the fire under control.

Emergency crews worked tirelessly through the afternoon, with multiple ladder trucks and engine companies on scene. The fire appeared to be spreading quickly, prompting officials to issue warnings to nearby residents and businesses to stay clear of the area.
